Volunteer Year-Round at the Global Aid Network Pennsylvania Distribution Center
Putting together Gospel Bracelets

For two weeks each October since 1991, Global Aid Network (formerly called Operation Carelift) has borrowed a warehouse in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to collect humanitarian aid.  And each year, compassionate volunteers like you have come to help sort, pack, and ship the aid to Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine.

Now through the generosity of many donors we have a permanent warehouse facility located in the Lancaster, Pennsylvania area.  (Map to the warehouse)  Throughout the year at this new Distribution Center we will have work projects in which we will need your help to sort and pack items like clothing, shoes, medical supplies and equipment, toys, school supplies, and more!  Now, in addition to the ministry points in the former Soviet Union, the aid will also be destined for other areas of need like Sudan, Uganda, Iraq, Central Asia, Central America, countries in the Middle East, and natural disaster locations as they happen around the world.  Do you want to get news about upcoming work projects scheduled throughout the year?  Just click here to register to receive e-mail updates about special events and volunteer opportunities.

BoxesSince 1991, more than $125 million worth of humanitarian aid like food, medicine, medical equipment, clothing, shoes, and more has been sent to numerous countries around the world.  It was delivered personally by caring Christians to orphans, invalids, prisoners, and poor families.  That is more than 350 of the 40-foot shipping containers of humanitarian aid sorted, packed, and sent!  Without compassionate volunteers like you who gave time and effort to help others, this aid would have never reached the people in desperate need of physical help and spiritual hope.  But now there are more countries who are crying out for help. God is providing the aid. Will you help pack and ship it?

Throughout the year you can send a special gift of a CarePack of school supplies or a school backpack along with a letter and photo of yourself to an orphan or needy child in Russia, Uganda, Zimbabwe or another country where our mission teams will visit.. Click here to print the supply list to make a CarePack of some of the most requested items—school supplies and hygiene items.  This gift, with a letter and photo from you, can bring hope to a hopeless child.  And as you share your faith in the letter, you can guide that child into a relationship with their Heavenly Father!
