Global Aid Network® demonstrates the love of God through many means as we operate in countries around the world. But we couldn't do it without you. Every person has giftings which make them unique in the body of Christ. If you are gifted in sewing, Global Aid Network has a place for you. By sewing Gospel Aprons and blankets, you will provide a tangible illustration of the love of God and a simple tool for sharing the gospel with those who receive the aid we ship. Gospel Aprons:

Communicate the gospel effectively without language barriers by sewing Gospel Aprons. Global Aid Network has developed a volunteer program that sews Gospel Aprons and distributes them around the world.

Gospel Aprons are a creative way to visually communicate to someone how to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. Each apron has 6 color pockets which symbolize part of the gospel story. For example, black symbolizes mankind’s sin that darkens our hearts apart from Christ; red represents the cleansing blood of Jesus that was shed on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins, etc.

After the apron is sewn, each colored pocket will contain a printed card that explains the color as it relates to the gospel message. Each apron serves as a daily reminder of the love of Jesus and a gift that is greatly appreciated.

We invite you to join us during our Mission Packing Projects in June and October to be trained in making these gifts of love. You can also give a donation for the production and distribution costs, and help us communicate the gospel to people in need around the world.

 

Blankets of Love: 
We all know babies need a blanket and so do children. Grown-ups need blankets, too. And how about people who are elderly? If you are sick or handicapped, a blanket can keep you warm and just help you feel better. What if you lost everything you own in a disaster or had to leave your home quickly? You would be grateful to receive a blanket. Even people in countries that are generally considered “warm” need blankets for nighttime when it can get quite cool.

 

Your gift of a blanket is not only an expression of your care and love, but provides warmth in the winter. Each blanket you donate, whether hand-crafted or store-bought, will go to a person who will feel God’s love in action.

 

Make a blanket:
A blanket can be pieced like a quilt, knitted or crocheted and even made from fleece without sewing a stitch. Our favorite size is 48”x72”. We’ve found that this is a good size for most people. However, we will accept blankets from baby size (40”x40”) on up to bed size (F/Q). The most important thing is that your blanket be well-made from quality materials. Ask yourself if you would be proud to give or receive it as a gift—because that’s exactly what it is. To request simple quilt patterns call our Distribution Center at 717-285-4220 or e-mail us.
