Still recovering from a 36 year civil war that ended in 1996, Guatemala is a country in desperate need. As a developing country, Guatemala is among the 10 poorest countries in Latin America, with approximately 29% of the population living below the poverty line. Many people in this developing nation are struggling to provide for their families, and many children go without adequate food, shelter, and education. By helping to meet some of these most basic needs, we can have the opportunity to introduce them to Jesus.
Our short-term mission trips are great for those who have a pioneering heart in reaching others for Christ and helping those in need.
This trip is suited for individuals, families or groups.
No age requirement. Those under 18 years of age are required to have a guardian.
We will arrive in Guatemala City and depart from there to Peten, a beautiful area in the northern section of Guatemala. We will be working alongside local ministries with indigenous people in villages and schools to distribute aid and share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Accommodation:
The team will stay at a secure and comfortable hotel.
