Zambia has a history of strong religious influence. In 1991, Zambia was declared a "Christian" nation. Since that time, influences from other religions have grown and are challenging this declaration. Last summer we sent the first team of volunteers to serve alongside the national staff in supporting the expansion of the Gospel to churches, schools, orphanages and other agencies working with Campus Crusade for Christ. This summer's team will continue that effort primarily through the distribution of water filters in four rural communities, while sharing the source of living water found through faith in Christ.
This trip is for those with a pioneering spirit and a deep desire to share the love of Christ through the gospel and humanitarian aid.
Age limit for this trip is 16 years old. Participants under 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
All participants must be able to endure more demanding travel and housing conditions. You must be able to hike for a few miles and carry a backpack if necessary.
The team will fly into Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, and spend the majority of the time at this location. For a few days during the trip, the team will travel to rural areas to minister in the outlying communities and schools.
