Severe famine has struck the horn of Africa. Twelve million people face severe malnutrition and are in desperate need of relief. Officials have declared this the highest malnutrition rate in the world and unlikely to improve anytime before 2012.
Food, clean water, sanitation, health care, and shelter remain the primary needs. Global Aid Network®is working in coordination with our ministry partners to provide hope and help to starving people in this hurting region.
Generous donors have already helped provided funds for shipping nutrient rich fortified-rice soy meals to the affected area. Additional containers of food and relief aid have been made available to Global Aid Network to help bring relief to starving and displaced people, but we need your help.
In order to ship these containers, we need shipping funds. Each 10 cents you give will provide a meal to a child suffering in the midst of severe famine. Your gift of $10 will provide 100 meals and help sustain even more people who suffer from terrible hunger. A generous gift of $100 will provide 1,000 meals.
