OPENING DOORS FOR CHANGE

Global Aid Network® (GAiN®) works with ministry partners in Zimbabwe who are striving to do more than just provide for the physical needs of their people. They want to see community transformation.

Farai Katsande, Campus Crusade for Christ’s Southeast Africa team leader, has challenged his teams in Zimbabwe to focus on equipping and developing church leaders. “I have really seen the power of teaching the church leaders,” Farai shared. “The church leaders begin to think beyond the four walls of their church and begin to think in terms of the community and the nation. If we want to see Zimbabwe as a nation be changed, then we need to think in term of the community and the nation and then we can change Zimbabwe.”

Farai and his teams are partnering with the churches in their cities to teach the church members how to care for needy people in their communities and how to face the issues that are affecting their society. The entire Zimbabwe Campus Crusade for Christ team is trusting God to completely transform these communities in the next 2 to 3 years.

One of the ways Global Aid Network is helping this vision become reality is by shipping seeds to Zimbabwe. Using the seeds, the pastors teach the people in the community how to grow self-sustaining gardens to provide food and to sell the produce to make an income and pay for school. One local family used to make $5 a week for their income and is now making $130 a week from their garden of vegetables that were harvested from the seeds GAiN shipped.

With your help, Global Aid Network can continue to ship seeds to Zimbabwe and other countries to open up doors for the Gospel and community transformation.
